Veteran defender Sol Campbell believes England boss Fabio Capello simply does not like him.

The 35-year old, who re-joined Arsenal in January, could not see why he was left out of Capello's preliminary World Cup squad because his form in the latter stages of the Premier League season was good and is of firm belief that the Italian just doesn't rate him.

"I have never met Capello, but you get the sense that he has never liked me as a player because he has never considered me, as far as I know, which is curious," he told ESPNsoccernet.

"After my performances at the back end of the season, it doesn't make sense, as I was still fresh compared to many players who are exhausted after a long season."
