England coach Fabio Capello is delighted for Claudio Ranieri and his success with Roma.
Former Chelsea manager Ranieri has turned Roma from relegation candidates to Serie A leaders since succeeding Luciano Spalletti earlier this season.
Capello said: "I would give an Oscar to Roma and Ranieri. They are doing something extraordinary, something unthinkable when they were 14 points back.
"The team has always been good, but Ranieri has overachieved. When I left Roma I said that in Italy a Coach couldn't stay longer than four years.
"In the fifth year the players don't follow you anymore. They need a spark. Spalletti was very good, but even he, like me, understood that his time was up."
