Joaquin Caparros is staying as coach at Real Mallorca for next season.
Caparros took over at Mallorca in October following the resignation of Michael Laudrup and led the team to an eighth-placed finish.
The 56-year-old, whose initial contract was due to run out on June 30, said: "I'm very happy with this agreement. I'm looking forward to my second season in Mallorca with high hopes and a lot of enthusiasm."
Caparros counts the likes of Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla, Deportivo La Coruna and Villarreal among his former clubs.
