Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro is confident coach Walter Mazzarri rates his squad higher than seventh place.
After the weekend's draw with Siena, Mazzarri suggested that Napoli's budget - the seventh highest in the League - means that their seventh place standing in the table is where expectations should lie.
"The statements were made in anger, I would not put so much weight on them," commented Cannavaro when asked on the subject.
"Last year we were ninth at one stage and we finished in third place, so for us [the budget] does not count, we always play to do better. The goal? To finish as high as possible."
