Fabio Cannavaro believes Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is capable of winning the Ballon d'Or.
Former Real and Juventus defender Cannavaro is a former winner himself.
"He'll definitely be in with a chance of winning the Ballon d'Or if he has a good World Cup. If Spain enjoy a good campaign, I'm convinced he'll be nominated," said the Italian.
"People say that defenders win matches but forwards sell tickets. But there are centre-backs like Ramos who both win games and prompt fans to buy tickets because they want to see them play."
