Antonio Candreva is delighted with his new deal at Lazio.
The midfielder extended his agreement this week.
"Everyone who knows me knows that I've always said I wanted to stay here," Candreva has told Lazio Style Radio.
"Even in my first press conference, I said I wanted to become a symbol of the club. I never thought about leaving Lazio."
Lazio face Udinese at the Olimpico on Thursday, and Candreva insists they are looking to bounce back after defeat to Genoa on Sunday.
"It will be a very difficult game. They're a team who are difficult to play against, but we want to redeem ourselves.
"We created a lot of chances, but we perhaps were not clinical enough. With the way we played, we shouldn't have lost that game, but that's how it went."
