Canada U17 star Alderson impressing Vancouver Whitecaps

Bryce Alderson has impressed the Vancouver Whitecaps coaching staff during the club's post-season evaluation camp.

The Canada U17 captain has joined in training with the senior players as the Whitecaps cast their eye over some potential new faces for the 2012 season and assistant coach Paul Ritchie has been extremely happy with how the promising talent has performed.

"Young Bryce is only 17 years old and has looked as if he was part of it for years," he told MLSsoccer.com.

"He's always looking for the ball, and as a young kid in this environment, to have that about him, there's something special about the kid.

"So we've got to keep an eye on him and keep nudging him the way we hope he'll mature, and who knows what can happen for him."
