Former Spain international Ivan Campos paid tribute to Real Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre after last night's Copa del Rey final defeat.

Mallorca lost on penalties to Athletic Bilbao after the score had finished 1-1 after extra-time.

Campos later said: "I think that both Mallorca and Athletic have had options and in the end anything can happen on penalties and Athletic have been really good and in the end they have to be congratulated.

"I'll stick with the photo of the hug that Valverde and the coach (Aguirre) gave each other. It's fantastic for the viewer. That hug so affectionate and with so much respect is a very beautiful image for everyone.

"Aguirre has that gift of a gentleman. He is a kind, loving person, that's how he is. He has been there for three years, he has reached this final.

"Congratulations to him, to Majorcanism and to Athletic, of course."
