Sol Campbell is set to become a free agent.
The Guardian says Campbell is expected to finally sever his ties with Notts County after the two parties reached an amicable agreement over the cancellation of his contract.
Campbell's registration has been held by Notts County since he walked out 29 days into a five-year deal, with the former England international content for that situation to continue while he explored the possibility of a loan move.
However, Campbell appears to have now ruled out that prospect and will be free to sign for a new club in January.
