Former Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso insists Diego Godin will prove his value.

The ex-Atletico Madrid captain has drawn criticism in his first season with Inter.

"Godin had the humility to try to do the best he could with what Conte asked him to do at Inter. In the three man defence he is not at ease, but often ends up doing well when playing at the centre of it," Cambiasso told AS.

“He has made no serious mistake during the season and ends up going unnoticed in all games. There is no negative data to say that he has not adapted. He had the humility to accept everything that Conte asked him to do."
