Leicester City are closing on a deal for free agent Esteban Cambiasso.
The Mirror says Leicester are closing in on the signature of Argentine midfielder Cambiasso on a two-year deal.
And the experienced former Real Madrid and Inter Milan ace, 34, is urging City to sign his compatriot Pablo Alvarez too.
The promoted Foxes are now considering a bid for versatile defender Alvarez, 30, once they have secured Cambiasso on a lucrative Bosman.
Alvarez, who is captain of Catania in Serie A, can play full-back on either flank.
