Camara joined St Mirren because they are going places

Mo Camara has penned a deal with St Mirren until the end of the season with the option of another 12 months. The Guinea international insists he has joined a club that are going places.

The 33 year old said: "St Mirren are a big club and they are looking to get into the top six in Scotland.

"I have good feelings about this move, everyone has been great with me. Scottish people are all nice and everyone at the club has made me welcome.

"I am not thinking about next season, I'm only thinking about the next four months and doing everything I can to help them get into the top six.

"Gus told me it's a good club and the club is looking to go forward.

"The club have a great stadium and we have everything to be a great team."

Camara spent a season with Celtic in 2005-06 but insists he has no regrets about his time there as it made him a better player.

He said: "I don't have regrets. My first six months at Celtic were unbelievable and I really enjoyed it.

"I came back strongly after a difficult start at Celtic but then the manager took the decision to play a different person.

"But I really enjoyed all the manager, staff and players at Celtic. They made me a better player.

"I am more relaxed with football now than I was before. When I first came to Celtic I got more of the ball and I'm more relaxed in football now."
