Everton were beaten by National League North outfit Chester this week in a friendly.

The Toffees played a rotated team, but one that did feature eight first-team players in the line up.

The likes of Yerry Mina, Conor Coady, Nathan Patterson, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Tom Davies, Ellis Simms and Mason Holgate were all involved.

One inclusion that will please Everton fans is that of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

He played 70 minutes of a 1-0 loss, which would have delighted manager Sean Dyche.

Now the Toffees have to hope the striker can score enough goals to keep them in the Premier League.
