Gary Caldwell is desperate for Celtic boss Gordon Strachan to offer loan star Georgios Samaras a permanent deal.
The Glasgow giants have first option on the £3m-rated Greek striker who is due to return to Manchester City in the summer. And Caldwell wants to see the front-man tied up on a permanent contract.
"He's scored some vital goals and I'd like to see him stay," said the defender.
"I'm not the gaffer though and only he can make that decision. But yes, I'd love to see him stay next season."
