Cahill urges Everton to maintain unbeaten run

Everton's six-match unbeaten run can continue according to star attacking midfielder Tim Cahill.

The Australian international has been a key ingredient in the Toffees' return to form in recent weeks after a slow start and believes the players are improving every day as they strive to achieve more positive results.

"We are moving in the right direction and playing some great football," Cahill told the Liverpool Echo.

"We have to get one now and make sure we get some results. The key is putting more of our chances away."

Everton came from behind twice to eventually draw 2-2 with Blackpool on Saturday but Cahill feels the Merseysiders should have taken maximum points back to Goodison Park.

"We should have got more out of the game," Cahill added. "We created a lot of chances and that is why we were upset with ourselves for not putting more of them away.

"The main thing is for us to be focused and positive that we created those chances. We look like we're going to create a lot of opportunities with the way we're playing at the moment. We have some momentum going. We're playing well and getting results.

"Now it is about putting the ball in the net. We could have been a lot more clinical - but it wasn't to be."
