Cahill set to play out career with Everton

Australia international Tim Cahill is set to finish his career with Everton after it was revealed he is in talks about a new four-year deal.

The 30-year old attacking midfielder is currently under a two-year deal but hopes to have that extended so he can play out his career with his beloved Toffees.

"The chairman and the gaffer know what I think of the club and so do the players," Cahill told the club's official website. "It is amazing!

"The chairman knows my thoughts, I will sign here for life. He knows my thoughts on what I love about this club.

"I respect everyone so much and hopefully I am here for a long time."

Cahill has made 201 appearances for Everton since crossing from Millwall in 2004, scoring 56 goals.

He is hoping a new deal with the Merseysiders can be finalised before the World Cup kicks off next month.
