Tim Cahill netted an 86th minute goal to help Everton come from behind to record a 2-2 draw against Tottenham. The Toffees found themselves two goals down just fifteen minutes into the second half at Goodison Park when Tottenham's star striker Jermain Defoe slotted home from an Aaron Lennon cross two minutes after the break before defender Michael Dawson doubled the advantage just before the hour-mark.
But the home side fought back through Louis Saha who again scored before Cahill equalised with a low header four minutes from time.
Tottenham had the chance to win the match when Everton's Tony Hibbert's challenge on Wilson Palacios was deemed to be worthy of a penalty but Defoe's spot-kick was saved by Toffees keeper Tim Howard who gave his side a share of the points.
