Cagliari chief Francesco Marroccu has played down talk of a January bid for Grosseto's Australia midfielder Carl Valeri. "Needless to say, Valeri is a player who interests us, but for now he does not fall into our plans," said Marroccu. "He's a good player but we do not need to acquire a midfielder."
