Cagliari coach Claudio Ranieri was pleased after their 3-2 win against Salernitana.
The result sees Cagliari move into 13the place on the table just weeks after Ranieri had offered to resign.
He said: "At 3-0 perhaps we thought the match was over and we fell asleep. Luckily we started to stay on the pitch again and finished the match well."
On his resignation, Ranieri explained: "I wanted to shake up the team, but mine wasn't a bluff.
"When I resigned, the resignation was 100% valid. However, my players told me: 'We all got on this boat together, it would be too easy leave now'.
"Then there was the electric shock and the team's performance changed. It had never happened to me."
