Cagliari coach Massimiliano Allegri has taken a swipe at Inter Milan counterpart Jose Mourinho.

Last night the Panchina d'Oro trophy was handed out to the tactician voted for by his peers, who in this case was the Cagliari manager.

"Maybe because he is the Inter Coach, Mourinho is under the spotlight and always called on to comment on everything. Or that could just be his style," mused winner Allegri.

"I, on the other hand, prefer not to talk about other people. I already have to focus on the line-up for Sunday and trying to make as few mistakes as possible."

Some in the media suggested Mourinho might try to 'wind up' Allegri ahead of their match this coming weekend.

"He'll have to make a lot of snide jokes, then! It takes a lot to make me lose my patience."
