Cagliari chief Francesco Marroccu is pleased with AC Milan's interest in coach Massimiliano Allegri - now that he has signed a new two-year deal.

Marroccu said: "I learned from the newspapers about the appreciation of Milan in Allegri. Please, I am happy: it means that our president has done well once again.

"I do not know if there have been talks, I know only that our coach is connected to Cagliari by a two-year contract, maturing in 2011. I have no evidence of appointments, meetings or opportunities to do so."
