Cadiz defender Juan Cala has announced his retirement.
The 34 year-old held a media conference today to confirm his decision.
"Today has come the end of my career, the end of the dream I had as a child," he said. "I came because there was a project, with people prepared and I came to contribute my grain of sand and it has been more than fulfilled. I am glad that Cádiz is where he is. I hope I have lived up to those who have trusted me,.
And he added, "I have always tried to be an honest and hard-working person. Special thanks to the Sevilla fans because I grew up there as a footballer, to the Getafe fans because it was there where I dedicated my career and, finally, to the Cádiz fans. Here they have given support in very bad times."
