Defender Richie Byrne, who quit Aberdeen in the summer, has not ruled out a permanent return to Scotland after training with Inverness. The 27-year-old was released by Oldham who opted not to renew his short-term deal.
As a free agent Byrne has indicated that he would consider signing for a club in the Scottish Premier League.
"I would not rule out anything to be honest. At the moment Craig has given me training facilities at Inverness," he said in the Daily Record.
"I would say I'm about two weeks away from being fully fit but I would have to wait until the January transfer window opens before I can sign for a Scottish club anyway."
