Nicky Butt is confident that Manchester United can produce a positive end to a disastrous 2013/14 campaign.
The former Red Devils midfielder has been drafted in by interim boss Ryan Giggs as an assistant for the final four fixtures of the season following Tuesday's sacking of David Moyes.
Butt has joined Gary Neville and Paul Scholes in helping Giggs restore some pride at season's end and he believes there is enough quality within the Old Trafford squad to prove that there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
"We've got some amazing players at this club, good lads who care about the club, who are really positive about United and want the best for the club," he told MUTV ahead of Saturday's clash with Norwich City.
"Saturday is a massive occasion, not only for Ryan, but for the staff, the fans and the players as well because they know that we've underachieved as a club this year.
"The players in that changing room know how good they are. They look round, look left and look right at the players next to them and know that they are very proud, hard-working lads. I'm sure we'll see that on Saturday."
