Bury boss David Flitcroft has revealed the squad have contributed money towards their flights back from Portsmouth, in an effort to help their attempt for League Two promotion. Flitcroft's side, who play against Pompey on Saturday, will fly down on Friday night and stay in a hotel.
After their 1-0 win over second-placed Shrewsbury, the Shakers are four points off the automatic promotion places.
"The players have contributed to the flights home," Flitcroft said.
The 41-year-old told BBC Radio Manchester: "That's how committed this group are to doing the right thing and preparing.
"We've got a lot of work to do but these players are driven to keep pushing."
