Burton Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is a shock contender for the Newcastle United job.

The Sun says the Dutchman is being considered by Toon chief Mike Ashley as he revamps the set-up at St James' Park this summer.

Former Leeds United and Chelsea striker Hasselbaink earned promotion out of League Two with Burton this season.
