Burnley are moving for former Manchester City goalkeeper Nicky Weaver.

The Mirror says Weaver has been training at Middlesbrough, but Brian Laws stepped in yesterday for the experienced stopped, who played for him at Sheffield Wednesday, and he is due to join the Clarets today in a surprise switch.

Weaver played for Dundee United in the SPL for the first half of the season but wanted to come back to England and has grasped the chance to resurrect his career.
