Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill insists they can be happy with their performance after defeat at home to Liverpool.
Burnley lost 1-0 at Turf Moor, with Fabinho scoring the winner for the Reds.
Brownhill said, “We put a real shift in the first-half, we created some good chances. Good quality chances too, a bit unlucky we didn't score.
“Against a team like these, it's always hard to come back going 1-0 down, but I am really proud of the lads today.
“We knew we had to get at the from the off, in a packed-out Turf Moor once again and that's what we did.
“Happy with the performance overall, but obviously disappointed with the result.
“These back-to-back games with United and Liverpool have really shown we are fighting for it and will keep fighting until the end."
He added: “The mood around the camp is fantastic, training is really good and there's a real togetherness.
“We know where we are on the table, we're a hard-working side and will just keep going.
“The lads are brilliant here; we just have to stay together as a unit and hopefully points will soon fall our way."
