Burnley are among clubs interested in Bolton Wanderers midfielder Chris Eagles.
WalesOnline says former Manchester United winger Eagles could be swooping into Cardiff City Stadium.
Eagles played alongside Bluebirds' manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under Sir Alex Ferguson, and the two men could be working together again this season.
Cardiff, Middlesbrough and Burnley are all understood to be keen on Eagles, who was released by Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season.
