Burnley are moving for Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill.

The Daily Mail says Burnley have held talks over a £7million deal for Brownhill, 24.

Brownhill has impressed in the Championship this season for Bristol City, who are chasing promotion to the Premier League - they currently sit just one point behind the play-off places.

The Englishman has been a mainstay in the heart of midfield for the Robins so far this campaign, scoring five goals and producing two assists in 26 matches.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche also has an interest in Chelsea's Conor Gallagher who has been on loan at Charlton.

He is likely to be recalled and sent out on another loan with West Brom, Swansea and Norwich keen.
