Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope is on Tyneside today for a medical at Newcastle United.
Pope looks set to join the Magpies for around £12m as he ends a six-year spell at Turf Moor.
The England international has been made available by Burnley after their relegation.
Pope wants to stay in the Premier League in a World Cup year.
The Magpies are expected to repeat their January spending spree, where they bought over £90m of players to turn around their dire start to the season, says the Daily Mail.
