Kevin McDonald has gained support from Burnley fans, despite his halftime walkout on the weekend.
McDonald has been fined and apologised for leaving Turf Moor at halftime of their 6-1 thrashing by Manchester City.
Burnley fans have surprisingly backed McDonald, 21. Alan Beecroft, chairman of the Colne Clarets, said: "I wish I had done the same thing. I don't think it will make a difference as to how Kevin is viewed.
"He was obviously disappointed about the game and being taken off and has gone to see his dad to talk about it. He has apologised for what he did, so I don't think Burnley fans will take badly to him.
"The main things supporters are all talking about is getting behind the club in the last few games to try and keep us up."
