Burnley defender Michael Keane had mixed emotions over defeat at Manchester United last week.
Keane returned to his old club in midweek but admitted the occasion was spoiled a little by the result.
"It was special, obviously I have a lot of friends there, the players and all the staff as well," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"It was a great night and I think it didn't really affect my game a lot. I played as I would anywhere else.
"But the result and what happened made it a bit sour.
"Sometimes it's easier to accept it if you don't play well, but when you play really well and come away with nothing it's really disappointing."
