Burnley are interested in signing Everton midfielder James McCarthy.

According to the Daily Mail, the Clarets want to take McCarthy on as either a part of swap deal with defender Michael Keane or separately.

The Republic of Ireland midfielder was injured throughout last season, making only 13 appearances across all competitions.

Everton have slapped a £20m price tag on McCarthy, with Newcastle and Aston Villa also showing interest in the 24-year old.
