Burnley manager Brian Laws has rubbished West Ham United's complaint over Fulham team selection.
The Hammers have complained to the Premier League over Fulham's line-up for their defeat to Hull City.
West Ham profited from a weakened Manchester United side in May 2007 as, with the title already won and the FA Cup final six days away, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo were on the bench.
Carlos Tevez scored to give West Ham a 1-0 win that kept them in the top flight, but the club were later fined £5.5million for breaking rules over the purchase of the striker and his Argentina team-mate, Javier Mascherano.
Burnley manager Laws said: "It's a bit difficult for West Ham to be tarnishing other football clubs when you think about the Tevez scenario."
