Burnley boss Kompany admits Palace clash 'must-win'

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany admits Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace is a must-win game.

It will mark Oliver Glasner's first game in charge of Palace.

Kompany said: "I think we have to have the approach that every game is must-win.

"The truth of it is, it's never black and white - it's really about getting a run together. It's a must to get a run of results together, that's the must.

"The individual game itself, you need that approach but the key thing for us is we can't have the pretension and the arrogance to say 'let's go to Crystal Palace and win'.

"Every game is tough for us, they are a good team with good players and saying it's a must... it's a desire, let's put it that way."

On Aaron Ramsey's injury suffered last week, he added: "Unfortunately for us, it is as bad as we thought. Definitely season over and maybe for the larger part of this year he won't feature.

"It's a blow for him but it's part of a [footballer's] career and we'll support him the best we can.

"He will make a full recovery and he will be an important player for us in the future but it's just unfortunate it has happened at a time when he was coming through."
