Sean Dyche has said James Tarkowski will continue to give his all as his Burnley contract continues to wind down.

The formidable defender is excellent form and will undoubtedly attract attention when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.

Dyche also added that he is still confused why Tarkowski has not been called up to the England squad.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, via LancsLive, Dyche said: "He has been terrific, he is an outstanding professional and I have said for the last couple of years that it is always a headscratcher for me that he is not around the England squad.

"He keeps going with the right mentality and made it clear to me regardless of his contract situation that you will get everything and he has delivered everything.

"From the minute he came in in pre-season he has been outstanding and he continues to be."
