Budapest Honved director Cordella invites Premier League club collaboration

Budapest Honved sports director Fabio Cordella has revealed they'd be open to collaboration with a Premier League club.

Boasting the best academy in Hungary, Budapest Honved have already sold Sebestyen Ihrig-Farkas to Parma this year and winger Balint Vecsei is close to a move to Galatasaray.

Manchester City were developing close ties with the Hungarians before Roberto Mancini's departure and Cordella told tribalfootball.com: "Unfortunately, no English club has shown interest in a partnership, but I can say that our academy produces every year at least two to three talents - they would do well in England.

"We are open to all clubs from the top level who would like to cooperate with us."

Cordella added: "We have an ambitious project, I hope that in the next three to four years we can see again Honved in the Champions League. Myself and the directors of Honved strongly believe in this project."
