Hull City boss Steve Bruce says he's ignoring reports that the axe is hanging over him.
Hull officials insist Bruce is safe.
"It's my turn. Unfortunately, it's what football management's about now," he said.
"You have a few bad results and, even after what you've done, I'm under pressure and I'm going to lose my job. I can't affect that.
"The chairman (Assem Allam) has let me bring in an assistant of my choice and spend more money on a forward.
"If my position was under threat, I don't think he'd have done that. I think he might have done it before the transfer window opened.
"I don't take for granted what I've done here. Football's all about today."
