Bruce eyeing scalp of the 'big boys' as Hull plot survival

Hull City manager Steve Bruce feels that a result against any of the 'big boys' will ensure Premier League survival.

The Tigers have four home games left of the five fixtures remaining starting with Liverpool on Tuesday night with Arsenal and Manchester United to follow.

Hull also face fellow strugglers Burnley at home as well as Tottenham at White Hart Lane as they look to record the points required to avoid the drop.

"Any result against the big boys is great - we need a result against one of them and let's hope we can get it done early," said Bruce.

"If you're going to stay in this division, your home form's going to be imperative.

"We're quietly confident that, starting with Liverpool, we can get enough points at home to keep us up.

"We know we're capable of getting a result, let's hope we can grasp it."

The Tigers are currently placed 16th on the league table, a solitary point above the relegation zone.
