Hull City players face massive pay-cuts if they're relegated, says manager Steve Bruce.
Bruce splashed out more than £40m to bring in big-earners this season but says they will be hit hard in the pocket if the club plummets back into the Championship.
Bruce said: "Everybody concerned takes a huge reduction in salary.
"Most players take a 40 and 50 per cent reduction.
"We've all signed contracts, me included, that if we're not in this league, we don't get the wages that the Premier League demands. That's only fair.
"But it's the failure that you think of, rather than your money. That's certainly the case with me.
"It's not in my psyche to think I'm going to lose half of my wages - it's the failure, not being able to stay here, which will affect us most."
