The older brother of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been released from police custody.

Mathias Pogba had been in custody as part of an investigation into an alleged extortion attempt on brother and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Mathias was held by local authorities for over a month. However, an appeal to be released was successful this week.

He has been placed under judicial control. He will be prohibited from leaving the territory and coming into contact with his mother and brother.

Le 10 Sport says Paul Pogba has been unsettled by the decision.
