Brother Luuk would love another chance in England - Newcastle's de Jong

Siem de Jong has revealed that his brother, Luuk, is hoping for another chance to impress in England.

Luuk arrived at Newcastle from Borussia Monchengladbach last season on a loan deal during the January transfer window but did not impress after failing to find the back of the net.

The striker has since return to his best after joining PSV Eindhoven this season and now, Siem, has moved on to state that his younger brother would love the chance to make a return to England despite his struggles at St James' Park.

Siem told The Chronicle: "He asks about Newcastle of course. We talk about slightly different than if I was playing. I hope Ajax will finish well over there but I would love him to finish top of the league.

"It would have been really nice if he'd been here as well, although I wouldn't have played with him this year anyway! He had a pretty unlucky half season here. It was a difficult one for him. He would love to have another chance, either here or maybe at another club in England.

"He loves it where he has now and I don't know if he'll want to leave after this season! He did want to stay but he wasn't sure if he was going to play or be on the bench and he needed to play all the time and prove himself again which is what he's doing at PSV. It would have been nice to play with him."
