Bristol City goalkeeper David James hasn't given up on playing again for England.
The former Liverpool and Aston Villa goalkeeper has not played for his country since the 4-1 World Cup defeat to Germany in South Africa.
James, 40, who faces former England boss Eriksson's in-form Leicester City tonight, said: "I genuinely live in hope. If I got to 54 caps, I'd be hoping for a 55th. I still have a hunger for success and that fire in my belly.
"I do have an eye on coaching and management and I want to take my coaching badges and move into that side of the game when I finish playing. But that is still very much in the future. At the moment, my focus is on playing."
