ChampionshipBristol City will host the FA Women's Cup Final in 2012, the Football Association has revealed. The match will take place at Ashton Gate on Saturday May 26 - the first time the event has been staged in the city.

Robins chief executive Guy Price told bcfc.co.uk: "We are delighted to be hosting the Women's FA Cup Final at Ashton Gate. We know 2012 will be the nation's year of sport and we want to make sure Bristol is a shining light in the national sports calendar.

"We are very proud to be hosting the match and look forward to putting on a fantastic event at Ashton Gate for the final."
