Brisbane Roar captain Craig Moore will support the Cancer Council's Call to Arms this weekend.

The Australian international will don yellow boots on Sunday as both Roar and Newcastle Jets players will wear yellow armbands to promote the anti-cancer campaign.

"It's just great to be able to continue to raise awareness, because that's what it's all about," said Moore who survived a cancer scare late last year.

"Unfortunately (cancer) is out there and it doesn't discriminate, so anything we can do to help, we're obviously delighted."

The Roar take on the Jets at Ballymore on Sunday at 2:30pm.
