Brisbane Roar youngster Adam Sarota will join teammates Tommy Oar and Michael Zullo on trial with Dutch club FC Utrecht.
The trio will travel to Holland later this week for a two-week trial with Eredivise club and Sarota is excited about the challenge.
"I'm really hoping to continue to raise my level of football experience," Sarota said.
"I think the Dutch league is a very technical competition and would really suit my game.
"I want to see how professional (FC Utrecht) are, and then bring what I learn back to the Roar."
Sarota admitted that the weather in Holland is likely to be a bit of a shock to the system but said the comfort of heading over with two close mates made things a lot easier.
"I think the big thing will be the weather," the 21 year-old said.
"It's coming into spring over there, but it will still be a lot colder than it is here in Brisbane.
"It's definitely much better going over with (Michael) Zulls and Tommy (Oar), than rocking up by yourself.
"At least with those guys there you have a little bit of a support system."
