Brisbane Roar are set to announce the signing of left-back Shane Stefanutto from the North Queensland Fury.

The 30-year old Australia international has signed a three-year deal with the Roar after spending one season with the Fury where he was unfortunately struck down with a serious knee injury.

Stefanutto is now on the mend and close to returning to pre-season training when the club re-commences but the injury put pay to his chances of making Australia's World Cup squad which he was on track to do with some good performances in the A-League.

Stefanutto returned to Australia in 2008 after spending time in Norway with Lillestrom SK and FC Lyn Oslo.
