Brisbane Roar's Postecoglou tells players to treat his heart better

Brisbane Roar coach Ange Postecoglou has urged his players to net leave it too late before they decide they want a winner.

Following last night's last-gasp win over Perth Glory, Postecoglou said it wasn't an ideal situation to wait until deep into injury time to hit the front in a game they should have killed off much earlier.

"The boys left it late and I've had a word to them about that. They're not treating their coach's heart to well," he quipped.

"I thought we deserved it to be fair on the balance of chances, especially in the second half."

Postecoglou highlighted the depth of his squad, saying it was a major reason they are currently sitting in second place.

"That's part of our plan. We want to have a strong squad," he added.

"Mitch (Nichols) was fantastic last week and he was great again today.

"The fact we can throw people on in the last half hour who are quality, it's not just throwing on substitutes for the sake of it, I think makes a difference."
