Brisbane Roar have confirmed they will face Celtic in a pre-season friendly on July 12. The Hoops will feature Australia international Scott McDonald who will line up against some of his Socceroo team-mates.

"Brisbane captain Craig Moore and Hyundai A-League Foreign Player of the Year Charlie Miller both had distinguished careers at Glasgow Rangers and know what it means to face Celtic," Brisbane general manager Peter McLennan said.

"This is a contest that should excite every football fan in Queensland, not just those who follow the famous green and white hoops."
